The National Association of Realtors has been working diligently over the last year to educate buyers and sellers of home buyer tax credit programs.  As April 30th, 2010, the expiration date of the tax credit program, draws nearer and nearer, the NAR is "Converting fence sitters into homeowners."

The NAR's Public Awareness Campaign has been focused on providing all the necessary information to prospective homeowners and First Time Home-Buyers. In the March issue of "REALTOR" magazine there is an advertisement depicting a family literally sitting on the fence outside of a home!

If you haven't heard about the Home Buyer Tax Credit yet, then I have not been doing my job the best that I should be. The current programs offered include: Up to an $8,000 tax credit for First-Time Home Buyers and a $6,500 tax credit for current homeowners.

The deadline to take advantage of this unprecedented home buying opportunity is April 30th, 2010.
